Last season, Dubnyk, 34, appeared in only 30 games with Minnesota, while tending to a personal family situation. He posted a 12-15-2 record with a 3.35 goals-against average, .890 save percentage, one shutout, and appeared in his 500th NHL game on Nov. 7, 2019 against San Jose.
During his time with Minnesota (2014-2020), Dubnyk led the NHL in games played (363), was second in wins (177), third in GAA (2.41), tied for fifth in shutouts (23) and tied for sixth in save percentage (.918).
In 2014-15, he finished third in voting for the Vezina trophy after posting a 36-14-4 record, a .929 save percentage and a 2.07 GAA with six shutouts with the Arizona Coyotes and Minnesota Wild. In 39 starts with the Wild, he backstopped Minnesota to a Stanley Cup Playoff appearance with a 27-9-2 record, .936 SV% and 1.78 GAA. He was also named to the NHL Second All-Star Team, the recipient of the Bill Masterton Memorial Trophy and finished fourth in the Hart Trophy voting.
Over his 11-year NHL career, the three-time NHL All-Star (2016, 2017, 2019) has appeared in 520 NHL games, earning a 247-195-52 record with a 2.58 GAA, .915 save percentage and 32 shutouts. He has also appeared in 26 Stanley Cup Playoff games, all with Minnesota, earning an 8-18 record with a 2.72 GAA and .904 SV% with two shutouts.
Since entering the league in 2009, Dubnyk is ninth in games played, 10th in saves (13,655), and is 12th in wins among goaltenders. He is one of two goaltenders from the 2004 draft class to appear in at least 500 NHL games (Rinne, 604).
Internationally, the Regina, Saskatoon, native has represented Team Canada in the World Championship four times (2010, 2011, 2012, 2013), appearing in seven games and recording a 1.28 GAA and .934 SV%. In the 2013 World Championship, Dubnyk went 4-0 with a 1.48 GAA and .913 SV%. He also won a Gold Medal at the World Junior Championship in 2006 with Team Canada.
The six-foot-six, 224-pound goaltender was originally selected by Edmonton in the first round (14th overall) of the 2004 NHL Draft.
