LeBlanc spent the previous eight seasons as an amateur scout with the Columbus Blue Jackets. In Columbus, LeBlanc was part of a scouting staff that selected 21 players who have gone on to reach the NHL since the 2015 draft, including current Sharks defenseman Markus Nutivaara (seventh round, 189th overall in 2015). Prior to his stint with the Blue Jackets, LeBlanc began his scouting career with the QMJHL Saint John Sea Dogs', drawing responsibility as a New Brunswick regional scout for two seasons.
Wingels appeared in 448 NHL games during his playing career from 2010-11 through the 2017-18 season with San Jose, Ottawa Senators, Chicago Blackhawks and Boston Bruins. A sixth-round selection by the Sharks (177th overall) in the 2008 NHL Draft, Wingels appeared in 337 games with San Jose and totaled 122 points (51 goals, 71 assists), finishing seventh among Sharks skaters in goals scored, eighth in games played and ninth in scoring total during his seven-season run with the club. The Sharks qualified for postseason play in five of his six seasons before being traded to the Ottawa Senators in 2016-17, including a Western Conference championship and Stanley Cup Final berth in 2016. He also played in 98 AHL contests with the Worcester Sharks and spent three seasons at Miami Ohio in NCAA play. Internationally, Wingels represented the United States at the 2014 IIHF World Championship, where he appeared in seven games.
Sbisa joins the Sharks following a season in the same role within the Anaheim Ducks organization. In his 13-season playing career, Sbisa skated in 549 NHL games, totaling 113 points (20 goals, 93 assists) and 385 penalty minutes. A first-round pick (19th overall) of the Philadelphia Flyers in the 2008 NHL Draft, Sbisa split his tenure between the Flyers, Ducks, Vancouver Canucks, Vegas Golden Knights, New York Islanders, Winnipeg Jets and Nashville Predators. He was part of six playoff teams in his career, including a trip to the Stanley Cup Final in 2018. Internationally, Sbisa represented Switzerland in numerous tournaments, including the 2008 and 2009 World Junior Championships, 2010 Olympics and the 2011 and 2012 IIHF World Championships.
