In 2016-17 he was named to the AHL's Second All-Star Team after ranking 3rd amongst all AHL blueliners in assists. The six-foot, 185-pound native of Goteborg, Sweden , was originally drafted in the fifth round (132nd overall) of the 2010 NHL Entry Draft by the Anaheim Ducks . He was signed as a free agent by San Jose on May 24, 2016.
