Jones posted a 35-23-6 record, including two shutouts, in 65 games this past season with a .912 save percentage and 2.40 goals-against average. His 35 wins ranked 7th and his .958 shorthanded save percentage ranked 14th amongst NHL goaltenders with at least 10 games played.
The goaltender was named to his first NHL All-Star Game during the 2016-17 season, and was recognized as the NHL's "Third Star" of the week for the week ending on December 4 after going 3-0-0 with a 1.01 goals-against average and .962 save percentage.
Since joining the Sharks, Jones paces the NHL in games started (130) and is tied for second in wins (72) amongst all NHL goalies. In addition, his 2.33 goals-against average ranks 13th in the NHL (minimum 20 games played). He finished tied for seventh in voting for the NHL's Vezina Trophy, awarded to the League's top goaltender, and finished ninth in voting for the NHL Postseason All-Star Team during 2015-16, his first year in San Jose.

Jones helped backstop San Jose to its first Stanley Cup Final appearance in 2016, setting single playoff franchise records for games played (24) and wins (14). He became the first goaltender in the NHL's expansion era (since 1967-68) to register multiple 40-plus save victories in one Stanley Cup Final, and his 44 saves in Game 5 of the final are the most in NHL history in a regulation win when facing elimination (since 1968).
In addition, Jones set a Sharks franchise record for longest regular-season shutout streak, going 234:33 without allowing a goal from October 7, 2015 versus Los Angeles through October 16, 2015 at New Jersey.
Internationally, Jones has won gold with Team Canada at the 2015 World Championships, and represented his country at the 2010 World Junior Ice Hockey Championships.
Jones won the Stanley Cup during the 2013-14 season as a member of the Los Angeles Kings.
The 6-foot-4, 190-pound native of North Vancouver, British Columbia, was originally signed by Los Angeles as a free agent on Oct. 2, 2008. He was acquired by San Jose from Boston on June 30, 2015.
