Vlasic, 30, finished 2nd on the Sharks in 2016-17 in average time on ice per game (21:14), and ranked 2nd amongst Sharks defensemen in points (28), goals (6), assists (22, tied), shots on goal (144), and game-winning goals (2). His 146 blocked shots ranked 2nd on the team, as did his 2:04 of shorthanded time on ice per game.
Having played his entire career in San Jose, Vlasic has posted 254 points (53 goals, 201 assists) and a plus-129 rating in 812 regular season games. In addition, he has registered 29 points (three goals, 26 assists) and a plus-14 rating in 114 playoff games. He ranks 2nd amongst all players from the 2005 draft class in games played and plus-minus, and has been a plus player in 10 of his 11 seasons, including each of the past nine campaigns.

Marc-Edouard has worked his way atop numerous franchise categories for defensemen including ranking 1st in games played, 3rd in goals, T-1st in assists, 3rd in points and 1st in plus-minus rating. More so, he was named to the NHL's All-Rookie team and named the Sharks "Rookie of the Year" during the 2006-07 campaign.
The blueliner has represented Canada on numerous occasions, most recently helping his country win the 2016 World Cup of Hockey with four assists and a plus-4 rating in six games played. He won gold at the 2014 Olympic Winter Games, and participated in the IIHF World Championship in 2009 and 2012.
The 6-foot-1, 205-pound native of Montreal, Quebec, was originally drafted by San Jose in the second round (35th overall) of the 2005 NHL Draft.
