Alyssarhaye Graciano

Alyssarhaye Graciano is fiber artist and painter born and raised in San José. Once in the tech industry as a linguistic specialist, she left her day job to pursue a creative career. Through traditional textile techniques and painting, Alyssarhaye explores ideas around her Mexican and Filipino background. Today she also works as the Visual Arts Curator at MACLA in Downtown San Jose while continuing her own arts practice through exhibitions, pattern design, and workshops.

Berni Palavecino Prado

Berni is an artist who was born in Chile and grew up in San Jose, California. Inspired by her love for the outdoors and wildlife, she incorporates plants and animals into most of her pieces, capturing their vibrant colors and intricate patterns. Her creative outlets include drawing, graphic design and clay work.

Corbrae Smith

Corbrae Smith is an Oakland-based artist, muralist and teach for whom San Jose holds a very special place. Speaking of his very first art instructor position Rocketship Academy and where he painted his first mural, “San Jose has many life-changing firsts for me and will always be near and dear to my heart.”

Luis Guardado

Luis Guardado a San Jose-based graphic designer, self-taught illustrator, mixed media artist and musician finds inspiration for his work through his lived experiences. As the son of immigrant parents, growing up around gangs, his active involvement in the local punk/hardcore/metal scene as both a musician and artist, sparked his general love of and curiosity for music and art, and pondering from the human experience.

Julie Dang

Julie Dang is a mild-mannered professional by day, and friendly neighborhood artist by night. A self-taught artist born and raised in San Jose, she strives to use art as a habitat for herself and others to be authentic, curious, and connected. By tinkering with quirky, surreal imagery that draws from influences of her Vietnamese heritage and the experiences that shaped her worldview, she aspires to add her voice in support of Southeast Asian equity and inclusion in the arts and advocacy for POC representation in the mental health space. When she’s not pondering and doodling, Julie keeps herself busy traveling, learning new recipes, enjoying the luxury recliner movie experience, and watching competitive cooking shows.

Arely Cardenas

Arely Cardenas is a first-generation Mexican American woman born and raised in San Jose. As a young child, Arely loved getting stickers from the 50 cent machines throughout the different stores in on San Jose’s East Side and would keep notebook paper around the house to practice sketching those animated Chicano images. As Arely was starting her small business in 2019, she embarked on a journey to find out more about her ancestral roots in Mexico. She became inspired to paint portraits that embodied her idols: female Mexican elders and social leaders in our San Jose communities. Today, Areily is painting with a heavy focus around empowering women and continues to be an active participant of the SV Pride Committee by serving as their Art Curator and hosting live painting events where queer and queer ally artists from all over the Bay Area come together to paint live for our LGBTQAI+ families and friends.

Auction timing varies depending on the initiative, but typically begins 48 hours prior to puck drop of the associated theme night. Text and email updates will be provided from GiveSmart if a jersey is different. To sign up for these alerts and other auction updates, text SHARKSJERSEYS to 76278.

Who can submit a bid on a Specialty Jersey?

Legal residents of the United States and Canada over the age of 18 are able to bid in any or all of the 2024-25 Specialty Jersey Auctions.

How can I participate in the Specialty Jersey Auctions?

Details on the most recent and/or upcoming auctions can be found at GiveSmart or by texting SHARKSJERSEYS to 76278. Please note: registration with GiveSmart is required to participate in Specialty Jersey Auctions.

How do I place a bid?

Once you have completed your GiveSmart registration, you will receive a welcome message via email and/or text linking to the Items page where you can browse and start bidding on packages. To receive text messages, you must opt-in during the registration process.

To bid, simply follow these five steps:

  1. Click the link in the Welcome email and/or text to access the Items page.
  2. On the Items page, you can view items by category or search by item number or name.
  3. Select the item of interest to view the description, the current bid, and the bidding history.
  4. GiveSmart will auto-populate the bid amount based on the set increment for the item; however, you can choose utilize this bid amount or set a higher one.
  5. Finally, you can select “Watch This Item” or, if you are ready to start bidding, select “Bid.”
Is my bid tax deductable?

The Specialty Jersey Auctions currently have no affiliation with the Sharks Foundation. As such, bids are NOT tax deductible.

Is there an Auto-Bid option?

Yes! You can set up your bid such that it will bid incrementally up to the amount you designatein the event that someone else places a bid against you. If no one bids against your auto-bid, the price remains the same.

Setting up your Auto-Bid can be done in four easy steps:

  1. Select the jersey of interest.
  2. Select the “Auto Bid” option
  3. Enter the maximum amount you would like to bid
  4. Select “Bid.”

Note: When two bids are placed for the same amount, the bid placed first based on the timestamp wins.

How can I track the status of my bid to know if I’ve won?

Tracking the status of your bid can be done at anytimeby clicking “My Activity” at the top of the Items page. Additionally, all winners will be notified at auction close via text message (if opted in) or via email if the winner opted out of text message notifications. Winners will be given 48 hours to confirm and pay for their prize. If confirmation and/or payment are not received within 48 hours, the auction item will be offered to the next highest bidder.

How do I pay for my prize?

When you are ready to pay, simply review the items in your cart on the GiveSmart platform and pay with a credit card on file oror enter new card details.

To add and store a credit card on file, select “My Info” on the top of the Items page and follow the prompts.

To pay:

  1. Select “Pay” at the top of the Items page
  2. Review the purchase summary
  3. Enter a credit card or use the one on file
  4. Select “Pay”
  5. Once payment is secured, a red “Paid” stamp will appear
  6. Show this stamp at the time of item redemption to confirm payment was made
  7. Any remaining balances due will be automatically charged to the card on file on the next business day

Once your balance is paid in full, a statement is automatically emailed to the address on file.

When can I pick up or receive my jersey(s)?

Items eligible for delivery will be shipped at no charge within 10 business days to the address on file. The winning bidder will receive a shipping tracking number via email for the item once the package is en route. Because of the value of the auction items, a signature will be required for the package upon delivery.

Winners who would prefer to make alternate shipping arrangements must email [email protected].
