FRISCO, Texas --The Dallas Stars announced today that 2022 Masters Tournament Champion Scottie Scheffler will participate in the ceremonial puck drop prior to the team's 2021-22 regular-season finale on Friday, April 29 against the Anaheim Ducks.

Scheffler, who grew up in Dallas, Texas, won his first major championship at the 2022 Masters Tournament earlier this month and is currently the No. 1 golfer in the Official World Golf Ranking. In 2022, he earned his first four PGA TOUR titles in a span of six starts, including his first major championship title, winning the Waste Management Phoenix Open, Arnold Palmer Invitational, World Golf Championships-Dell Technologies Match Play and Masters Tournament. He became the second player (ninth instance) to win four times in a PGA TOUR season, including a major and World Golf Championships event, and first since Tiger Woods in 2008. Prior to turning pro, he played his collegiate golf at the University of Texas at Austin where he helped lead the team to three Big 12 championships. Scheffler won three straight individual state titles during his junior golf career at Highland Park High School, joining Jordan Spieth as the only players to accomplish that feat at the time.
The April 29th game against the Ducks will be the team's annual Fan Appreciation Night, a night of special giveaways and prizes at the final regular-season home game.
