FRISCO, Texas -- Dallas Stars General Manager Jim Nillannounced today that the club has acquired right wing Ryan Hartman via trade with Philadelphia in exchange for center Tyler Pitlick.

Hartman, 24, recorded 26 points (12-14=26) in 83 regular-season games during the 2018-19 season with Nashville and Philadelphia. Beginning the season with Nashville, the winger registered 20 points (10-10=20) in 64 games before being acquired by Philadelphia mid-way through the season, where he added six points (2-4=6) in 19 contests. Hartman also logged a career-high 13:07 of average ice time per game last season.
Hartman has registered 89 points (42-47=89) in 245 career regular-season games over five seasons with Chicago, Nashville and Philadelphia. He has made two appearances in the Stanley Cup Playoffs, recording three points (2-1=3) in 13 career postseason games with Chicago and Nashville.
The 6-foot-0, 181-pound native of Hilton Head Island, S. C. was originally selected by Chicago in the first round (30th overall) of the 2013 NHL Draft.
Pitlick, 27, posted 12 points (8-4=12) in 47 regular-season contests with Dallas in 2018-19. He also made his first career trip to the Stanley Cup Playoffs last season, skating in six postseason contests. Pitlick has registered 53 points (33-20=53) in 185 career regular-season contests over five seasons with Edmonton and Dallas.
The 6-foot-2, 200-pound native of Minneapolis, Minn., was originally selected by Edmonton in the second round (31st overall) of the 2010 NHL Draft.
