DALLAS --The Stars concluded the 2021-22 regular season on a high note, defeating the Anaheim Ducks 4-2 in front of a sellout crowd of 18,532 at American Airlines Center on Friday.
The game had a little bit of everything, including a first goal from Thomas Harley and an emergency backup goalie appearance for the Ducks.

Here are the five takeaways from a memorable season finale.

UNFORGETTABLE MOMENT

Playing in his 34th career regular season game, rookie defenseman Harley scored his first career NHL goal to even the score at a goal apiece.
Moments after his shot hit the net, he banged on the glass in celebration and was mobbed by his teammates.
Great moment to cap off the regular season.

FAKSA THE SETUP MAN

Radek Faksa earned primary assists on the Stars' first goal goals of the game in similar fashion.
First, he spotted Harley crashing the high slot. Then, 2 ½ minutes later, he found Joel Hanley in nearly the same spot. The offense hasn't been there for the veteran forward this season, but it's never too late to chip in on the scoresheet. They're going to need offense throughout the lineup when the playoffs start anyways.

EBUG ENTERS THE GAME!

When Anaheim's starting goalie John Gibson left the game after 20 minutes with an upper-body injury, backup netminder Anthony Stolarz came in. Well, Stolarz also only lasted 20 minutes, leaving after the second period with a lower-body injury.
So, out for the third period came emergency backup goalie Hodges, a 28-year-old originally from Shropshire, England. He attended SMU and had a brief stint with the Allen Americans.
Wearing a Stars-inspired mask and goalie pads with green accents, his debut in the game came so quickly the Ducks equipment managers didn't have a chance to put his name on the back. Instead, his jersey simply had No. 68.

ROBERTSON REACHES 41, TIES FRANCHISE MARK FOR GAME WINNERS

Jason Robertson's go-ahead/game-winning goal was his 41st of the season and 11th GWG.
His 41 goals are the most since Jamie Benn had 41 during the 2015-16 campaign, and his 11th game winner tied the franchise record.
Robertson finished the season with 41 goals and 79 points in 74 games.

FINISHING ON A WINNING NOTE

The Stars wanted to come away with a victory in the season finale to set themselves up for Game 1 of the playoffs. And while it took a comeback effort, the Stars had goals from four different players, including Harley and Hanley.
The Stars finished the season with a 46-30-6 record (98 points) and a 27-10-4 mark at home.
