FRISCO, Texas --Dallas Stars General Manager Jim Nill announced today the team's roster for opening night. The 2020-21 roster consists of 23 active players, as well as six players on the Taxi Squad, three players on injured non-roster and one player on the non-roster list. The opening night roster includes 13 forwards, eight defensemen and two goaltenders, while the Taxi Squad consists of three forwards, two defensemen and one goaltender.

For the 10th consecutive season, the Stars will open their campaign at American Airlines Center as the club faces the Nashville Predators on Friday, Jan. 22 at 7:30 p.m. The Stars are scheduled to play their first four games at American Airlines Center before traveling to Carolina to open their road portion of the schedule against the Hurricanes on Jan. 30.
Prior to the start of Friday's game, the 2020-21 Dallas Stars team will take part in an on-ice banner raising ceremony, recognizing the team's 2019-20 Western Conference Championship. The banner raising ceremony will pay tribute to the club's success in the Edmonton bubble during the 2020 Stanley Cup Playoffs, in which the Stars reached the Stanley Cup Final for the fifth time in franchise history, and the third time since the club moved to Dallas in 1993-94.
FOX Sports Southwest Plus will provide complete coverage of the opening night festivities beginning at 7:00 p.m. with Stars Live, featuring host Brien Rea and analyst Brent Severyn. Color analyst Daryl "Razor" Reaugh and play-by-play announcer Josh Bogorad will call the action on FOX Sports Southwest Plus and Sportsradio 1310 and 96.7 FM The Ticket as the Stars begin the 2020-21 NHL season.
