FRISCO, Texas --TheDallas Stars will open the 2022-23 National Hockey League regular season on the road, facing the Nashville Predators in the first half of a home-and-home series on Thursday, Oct. 13 at Bridgestone Arena. Dallas will then begin the home portion of the schedule with a rematch against Nashville on Saturday, Oct. 15 at American Airlines Center.

Closer look at the 82-game schedule

The Stars are scheduled to play 82 games during the 2022-23 campaign, with 41 contests at home and 41 on the road.
Dallas plays in the NHL's Central Division of the Western Conference along with the Arizona Coyotes, Chicago Blackhawks, Colorado Avalanche, Minnesota Wild, Nashville Predators, St. Louis Blues and Winnipeg Jets. The club will play a total of 26 games against their division foes, with 13 games taking place at home and 13 on the road.
The home portion of the schedule features 18 weekend contests (4 Friday, 12 Saturday, 2 Sunday).
Dallas' longest homestand of the season is eight games from Jan. 21 - Feb. 14. The club faces Arizona Coyotes (Jan. 21), Buffalo Sabres (Jan. 23), Carolina Hurricanes (Jan. 25), New Jersey Devils (Jan. 27), Anaheim Ducks (Feb. 6), Minnesota Wild (Feb. 8), Tampa Bay Lightning (Feb. 11), and Boston Bruins (Feb. 14). The eight-game homestand ties a record for the longest in franchise history, originally established Feb. 20 - March 7, 2004.
This season, the Stars have a five-day break without any games from Jan. 28 - Feb. 1 leading into the NHL's All-Star Break. The League's regular-season schedule will pause from Feb. 2 - 5 when the world's top players gather in South Florida for the 2023 Honda NHL All-Star Weekend at FLA Live Arena, which will include the 2023 NHL All-Star Skills™ presented by DraftKings and the 2023 Honda NHL All-Star Game.
Dallas' longest road trip of the 2022-23 season is six games from March 9 - 18. The club will face the Buffalo Sabres (March 9), before travelling to the Seattle Kraken for consecutive games (March 11 and March 13). They will finish the road trip with three games in Western Canada against the Vancouver Canucks (March 14), Edmonton Oilers (March 16), and Calgary Flames (March 18).
The Stars wrap up the road portion of the regular season with a two-game trip, first facing the Detroit Red Wings (April 10) before traveling to the St. Louis Blues for the first half of a home-and-home series (April 12). Dallas then will play their regular-season finale at home against St. Louis on Thursday, April 13 at American Airlines Center.
