BUFFALO, N.Y. -- On a night the Stars desperately needed to get back into the win column, their power play led the way in epic fashion.
Erupting for four goals, including two in the third period, the Stars' power play drove them to a dramatic 5-4 victory over the Buffalo Sabres at KeyBank Center on Thursday. It was the catalyst for a comeback that saw the Stars erase two separate two-goal deficits, including two in the third period to stun the Sabres.

Tyler Seguin had two goals and an assist, Jason Robertson potted two and John Klingberg finished with three assists to snap Dallas' three-game losing streak and improve its record this season to 19-16-2. Braden Holtby delivered a 20-save performance, including all six in the third period to withstand a Sabres push in the closing minutes of regulation.
Not only did it get the Stars back into the win column, but it also erased a seven-game road losing streak. The Stars have no choice but to improve their record away from American Airlines Center if they want to gain ground in the standings and starting off this crucial four-game road trip with a win can go a long way.
Though the Stars finished strong, the same couldn't be said for the way they started. The Stars gave up goals to Rasmus Dahlin and Jack Quinn less than four minutes apart and found themselves trailing 2-0 just 6:37 into the game.
Despite missing the past two games with a lower-body injury, Robertson answered back with a huge tally on the power play to cut the deficit in half with his 14th goal and 33rd point of the season.

The Stars began the second period with momentum but found themselves down by two yet again just 1:09 into the middle frame when Dylan Cozens raced in on a breakaway and tucked a backhander past Holtby for his 10th goal of the season.
Roope Hintz got one back for the Stars with a tap-in off a beautiful pass from Robertson on the power play four minutes later to keep them alive. It gave Hintz three goals and six points over his past five games.

Both of Seguin's goals served as game-tying markers. His first of the night evened the score at three apiece on a severe angle shot that caromed off former Stars defenseman Mark Pysyk and across the stripe to tie with 8:20 remaining in the middle frame.

Then, trailing again 4-3, the veteran forward sniped one from the right dot off a beautiful feed from Hintz to tie the game with 7:37 remaining in regulation.

Robertson gave the Stars their first lead of the night with less than four minutes remaining on a mid-air tap in to complete the comeback.
