FRISCO, Texas -- Dallas Stars General Manager Jim Nill announced today that the club has traded goaltender Ben Bishop and a seventh-round selection in the 2022 NHL Draft to Buffalo in exchange for future considerations.

Bishop, 35, didn't play for the Stars in 2021-22, and finishes his time in Dallas with a 74-48-11 record, 2.33 goals-against average, .923 save percentage and 14 shutouts in 143 regular-season games. He has a 222-128-36 record in 413 regular-season games played in 11 seasons with St. Louis, Ottawa, Tampa Bay, Los Angeles and Dallas with a 2.32 GAA and .921 SV%.

The 6-foot-7, 210-pound native of Denver, Colorado was originally selected by St. Louis in the third round (85th overall) of the 2005 NHL Draft.
