Stars defenseman Andrej Sekera is headed to the 2022 Winter Olympics with Team Slovakia.
In an agreement between the IIHF, NHL and NHLPA, all participating teams in the 2022 Winter Olympics in Beijing, China are required to announce the first three provisional NHL players that will be included on the final men's Olympic national team rosters. The full rosters will be announced in January 2022.

Sekera, 35, is a two-time Olympian, representing Slovakia at the 2010 and 2014 Winter Olympic Games in Vancouver and Sochi, Russia, respectively.
The Bojnice, Slovakia native has also represented his country at six World Championships (2008, 2009, 2010, 2012, 2013, 2016), and served as team captain in 2016.
The 2021-22 season will be Sekera's third with Dallas. The former third-round pick by the Sabres in 2004 skated in 46 of the Stars' 56 regular-season games in the spring, scoring three goals and adding two assists.
