FRISCO, Texas -- Dallas Stars General Manager Jim Nill announced today that the club has recalled defensemanGavin Bayreuther from the Texas Stars, Dallas' top development affiliate in the American Hockey League (AHL).

Bayreuther, 24, has recorded five points (2-3=5) in seven AHL games with Texas so far in 2018-19. The defenseman is tied for second on the club with a +3 plus/minus rating this season, while he ranks second among team defensemen with two goals.
The 6-foot-1, 195-pound native of Canaan, N.H. was originally signed by the Stars as an undrafted free agent on March 15, 2017. Bayreuther has amassed 42 points (11-31=42) in 93 career AHL contests, all with Texas, while he has also registered eight points (3-5=8) in 22 career Calder Cup Playoff games.
In a related move, the Dallas Stars have placed defenseman Marc Methot on Injured Reserve (lower body injury) retroactive to Nov. 1.
