FRISCO, Texas -- Dallas Stars General Manager Jim Nillannounced today that the team has recalled forward Tanner Kero from the Taxi Squad. The team has also placed forward Joel Kivirantaon injured reserve, retroactive to Jan. 22.

Kero, 28, registered 33 points (8-25=33) in 49 games with the Texas Stars of the American Hockey League (AHL) in 2019-20. He shared first on Texas with 25 assists and with 12 power play assists last season. Kero also finished the campaign ranked third on the team in points (33) and eighth in goals (8).
The forward has recorded 22 points (8-14=22) in 72 career NHL regular-season games over parts of three seasons, all with the Chicago Blackhawks. Additionally, Kero has tallied 174 points (72-102=174) in 246 career AHL regular-season contests with the Rockford IceHogs, Utica Comets and Texas.
The 6-foot, 185-pound native of Hancock, Mich. was signed by Dallas as a free agent on July 1, 2019.
