Stars sign defenseman Thomas Harley to three-year, entry-level contract
The 18-year-old was selected by Dallas with the 18th overall pick in the 2019 NHL Draft

FRISCO, Texas -- Dallas Stars General Manager Jim Nillannounced today that the club has signed defenseman Thomas Harley to a three-year, entry-level contract.
Harley, 18, recorded 58 points (11-47=58) in 68 regular-season games with Mississauga of the Ontario Hockey League (OHL) in 2018-19. The defenseman finished the season fourth among OHL defensemen and led all Mississauga skaters with 47 assists, while he finished eighth among league blueliners and third among all team skaters with 58 points. He also led Mississauga defensemen and finished tied for 12th among OHL defensemen with 11 goals.
Thomas Harley signs entry-level deal with Stars
The blueliner has registered 73 points (12-61=73) in 130 career regular-season games over two OHL seasons with Mississauga. Harley has also made two appearances in the OHL Playoffs, logging six assists (0-6=6) in 10 postseason contests. Additionally, he recorded four points (1-3=4) in seven games at the 2019 IIHF U18 World Championship. The 6-foot-3, 193-pound native of Syracuse, N.Y., was originally selected in the first round (18th overall) of the 2019 NHL Draft.
