Olofsson, 25, recorded 42 points (15-27=42) in 49 games with IK Oskarshamn of the SHL in 2021-22. He finished the campaign tied for 14th in the SHL with a team-leading 27 assists, while he ranked 16th in the SHL and second on the club in points (42) and ranked third on the squad in goals (15). Olofsson also posted eight points (2-6=8) in nine postseason contests this season, sharing first on IK Oskarshamn in assists (6) and points (8).
The forward has tallied 76 points (28-48=76) in 100 career games over two SHL seasons with IK Oskarshamn from 2020-22. He's also appeared in two American Hockey League games with the Rockford IceHogs during the 2018-19 season, recording three shots on goal. Additionally, Olofsson also spent four years at the University of Nebraska-Omaha (NCAA), logging 95 points (35-60=95) in 137 games during his collegiate career from 2015-19. On the international stage, Olofsson was a member of Team Sweden at the 2022 Winter Olympics in Beijing, earning one assist (0-1=1) in six tournament games.
The 6-foot-1, 185-pound native of Helsingborg, Sweden was originally selected by Chicago in the fourth round (98th overall) of the 2014 NHL Draft.
