FRISCO, Texas -- Dallas Stars General Manager Jim Nill announced today the club has signed forward Logan Stankoven to a three-year, entry-level contract.

Stankoven, 18, skated in six games and recorded 10 points (7-3=10) during the 2020-21 campaign with the Kamloops Blazers of the Western Hockey League (WHL). He registered eight points (4-4=8) in seven games at the 2021 IIHF U18 World Championship, helping Team Canada capture the gold medal. Among all tournament players, Stankoven ranked first with a +14 rating.

The forward spent the last three seasons with Kamloops and registered 59 points (36-23=59) in 73 regular-season contests. He also appeared in six WHL postseason games in 2019, recording two points (1-1=2).

The 5-foot-7, 170-pound native of Kamloops, B.C. was originally selected by Dallas in the second round (47th overall) of the 2021 NHL Draft.
