• The Dallas Stars travel to Pittsburgh to face the Penguins on Tuesday night for the first of two games between the clubs this season. The teams won't meet again until the final stretch of the regular season when the Penguins come to Dallas on March 22. 
• With a 1-1-0 record in two games against Pittsburgh last season, the Stars have won three of their last four games (3-1-0) against the Penguins. Each of those four games were decided by one goal, including one decision in the shootout. 
• Forward Roope Hintz recorded a goal in each of his two games (2-0--2) against Pittsburgh last season, extending his goal-streak against them to three games (3-0--3). Hintz has recorded a point in all but two of his eight career games against Pittsburgh, earning a total of six points (5-1--6). 
• Forward Jason Robertson shared the lead among Stars skaters with two points (0-2--2) in two games against the Penguins last season and has earned five assists (0-5--5) in three career games against them.
• Goaltender Jake Oettinger has appeared in three games against Pittsburgh, posting a record of 2-1-0 with a 2.01 goals-against average and a .938 save percentage. Oettinger last faced the Penguins on March 23, when he made 40 saves on 42 shots in a 3-2 Stars win.

Forward Wyatt Johnston posted a goal and two assists (1-2--3) Saturday night against Philadelphia, marking the first three-point game of his career. Four games into the 2023-24 season, Johnston shares first on the club with three assists and shares second with four points (1-3--4). He also shares second on the club in takeaways (3) and ranks second among Stars forwards in blocked shots (5). Last season, the 20-year-old finished tied for the league lead in goals by a rookie (24), becoming the fourth rookie in franchise history to record a 20-goal season.
