VANCOUVER, British Columbia -- Dallas Stars General Manager Jim Nilland Director of Amateur ScoutingJoe McDonnell concluded the 2019 NHL Draft held at Rogers Arena by selecting three players on Saturday.
Below is a review of all four of the selections from the two-day draft.

Thomas Harley, defenseman (first round, 18th overall)

Harley, 17, recorded 58 points (11-47=58) in 68 regular-season games with Mississauga of the Ontario Hockey League (OHL) in 2018-19. The defenseman finished the season fourth among OHL defensemen and led all Mississauga skaters with 47 assists, while he finished eighth among league blueliners and third among all team skaters with 58 points. He also led Mississauga defensemen and finished tied for 12th among OHL defensemen with 11 goals.
The 6-foot-3, 193-pound native of Syracuse, N.Y., skated in seven games for Team Canada at the 2019 IIHF U18 World Championship, recording four points (1-3=4) in the tournament.

Samuel Sjolund, defenseman (fourth round, 111th Overall)

Sjolund, 18, skated for AIK J20 in SuperElit and AIK J18 in the J18 Allsveskan in 2018-19. The 6-foot-1, 172-pound defenseman registered 15 points (9-6=15) in 31 games with AIK J20 in 2018-19. Sjolund paced team defensemen and was tied for sixth among all club skaters with nine goals, while he ranked second among club blueliners in points (15). Additionally, Sjolund recorded one assist (0-1=1) in four postseason contests with the team. The native of Stockholm, Sweden also appeared in one contest with AIK J18.

Nicholas Porco, left wing (fifth round, 142nd overall)

Porco, 18, registered 36 points (20-16=36) in 67 regular-season games with Saginaw of the Ontario Hockey League during the 2018-19 season. The 6-foot, 176-pound native of Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, finished the campaign tied for sixth on Saginaw with 20 goals, while he shared first on the club with two shorthanded goals and was tied for third with four game winners.

Ben Brinkman, defenseman (sixth round, 173rd overall)

Brinkman, 18, recorded seven points (1-6=7) in 38 games during his freshman campaign with the University of Minnesota (NCAA) in 2018-19. He also registered one assist (0-1=1) in three games during the Big Ten Tournament, helping the team reach the tournament semifinals. The 6-foot, 215-pound native of Edina, Minn., led the Gophers with a +11 plus/minus rating on the season.
