What it is to burn

• The Stars face the Calgary Flames on Thursday night for their first of three meetings of the 2021-22 season. They face each other for the first time in the regular season since Dec. 22, 2019, a 5-1 Stars loss at home.
• Dallas has recorded a point in nine of its past 10 games in Calgary (8-1-1) and is currently riding a four-game winning streak (4-0-0) at Scotiabank Saddledome.
• The club's four-game road winning streak in Calgary is the team's second-longest active road winning streak (longer: six games, vs. LA at STAPLES Center, 6-0-0).
• Over the four-game road winning streak, Tyler Seguin (one goal, two assists), Miro Heiskanen (one goal, two assists) and Radek Faksa (three assists) share the team-lead with three points.
• Forward Joe Pavelski has points in seven of the past nine road contests vs. the Flames (three goals, five assists, eight points), including two goals in the Stars' most recent game at the Saddledome. In 55 career games against the Flames, Pavelski has recorded 50 points (16 goals, 34 assists). The Plover, Wisconsin native has registered at least 50 points against three teams in his career (other: Arizona, Edmonton).
• Captain Jamie Benn has 33 points (18 goals, 15 assists) in 34 career games against the Flames, including three game-winning goals.

There's something in the air tonight

• Seguin recorded two points (one goal, one assist) on Tuesday night in Winnipeg, including the game-tying goal at 13:16 of the third period to send the game to overtime.
• With five points (three goals, two assists) on the season, all recorded in his past five games, Seguin leads the Stars in goals and ranks second in points.
• After missing most of the 2020-21 season to a lower-body injury, Seguin returned for three of the final five regular season games. He recorded two goals in those matchups, including the game-tying marker against Florida to send the game to overtime on May 3, 2021.
• Since coming to Dallas in 2013, Seguin has recorded at least 70 points in six of eight seasons, only falling short of the mark in shortened seasons (2019-20, 2020-21).

Every star that I see is brighter than the last

• Forward Jason Robertson lit the lamp for the first time this season Tuesday night in Winnipeg. After missing the first six games to injury, Robertson has recorded two points (one goal, one assist) in his first three games.
• Robertson recorded an assist on the power play for his first point of the season in Friday night's game against Ottawa. Both of Robertson's points this season have come on the power play.
• Last season, the Arcadia, California native ranked second on Dallas with 45 points (17 goals, 28 assists) as a rookie. His performance earned him a nomination for the Calder Memorial Trophy.
