The Dallas Stars meet the Calgary Flames on Wednesday night at Scotiabank Saddledome on the first night of a back-to-back. The Stars are 5-3-2 on the front end of back-to-backs in 2018-19, most recently defeating the Wild, 4-1, on March 14 at Xcel Energy Center. Dallas and Calgary meet for the third and final game of the 2018-19 season series, with the Stars holding a 2-0-0 mark against the Flames. In two games vs. Calgary, captain Jamie Benn (2-1=3) and center Tyler Seguin (1-2=3) each have tallied three points. On special teams, the Stars are 1-for-4 (25%) on the power play and 8-of-9 (88.9%) on the penalty kill. In the most recent game between the two clubs, Dallas blanked Calgary, 2-0, on Dec. 18 at American Airlines Center. Goaltenders Ben Bishop and Anton Khudobin posted the combined shutout, stopping all 24 shots the team faced. Benn (1-0=1) and center Radek Faksa (1-0=1) each potted a goal. The Stars have won back-to-back games at Scotiabank Saddledome (2-0-0) and have collected points in seven of his last their eight games in Calgary (6-1-1). Dallas defeated Calgary in overtime, 4-3, in the first meeting of the 2018-19 season at Scotiabank Saddledome on Nov. 28. Seguin posted an assist and the overtime game-winning goal (1-1=2), while Benn (1-1=2) and defenseman Gavin Bayreuther (1-1=2) each added multi-point games. Khudobin stopped 30 of the 33 shots he faced.

Overall, the native of Vitkov, Czech Republic has skated in 75 games in 2018-19 and shares seventh on the club with 27 points (15-12=27). Faksa ranks second on the club in total faceoff wins (530) and third among team faceoff leaders (50.9%, 530-for-1041). On Feb. 21 vs. St. Louis, Faksa recorded two points (1-1=2) and registered his 100th career NHL point with his goal in the second period. The native of Vitkov, Czech Republic has skated in 279 career NHL contests, all with Dallas, and has amassed 105 points (49-56=102), a +21 plus/minus rating and 162 penalty minutes. Faksa was originally selected by Dallas with the 13th overall selection in the 2012 NHL Draft.
