'Hello friend, it's been too long'

• The Stars face the Avalanche on Friday night for the first time since Jan. 14, 2020.
• Dallas has won its past four contests against Colorado, posting a record of 4-0-0 in 2019-20. The club has also won eight of its past ten (8-2-0) against the Avs at American Airlines Center.
• Forward Tyler Seguin has points in seven of his past 10 games vs. Colorado, amassing 10 points (six goals, four assists) over that span. Since joining the Stars in 2013-14, Seguin's 36 points (17 goals, 19 assists) in 29 contests are the second-most by any NHL player against the Avalanche (most: Blake Wheeler, 44 points, 31 GP). On home ice against the Avs, he has points in four-straight games (two goals, two assists) and in eight of his past nine (six goals, six assists).
• Defenseman Esa Lindell recorded two points (one goal, one assist) in four games against the Avalanche in 2019-20 including his second career overtime game-winning goal in the Stars' most recent win on Jan. 14, 2020. In 17 games against the Avalanche in his career, Lindell has recorded six points (three goals, three assists).
• In eight career appearances against the Avs, goaltender Braden Holtby has posted a 6-1-0 record and has recorded a win in his past six decisions against them (6-0-0). He's earned a 2.67 goals-against average and .907 save percentage in his eight games.
• Forward Radek Faksa recorded the third career multi-goal game (two goals) and netted the game-winning tally on Nov. 5, 2019 against Colorado. The Vitkov, Czech Republic native has recorded six points (three goals, three assists) in 17 games against the Avalanche.

'I got a sure shot way to work things out'

• Defenseman John Klingberg notched his first multi-point game of the season (three assists) on Tuesday night vs. Edmonton, tying his career high for helpers in a single game.
• Klingberg tallied his first power-play points of the season with an assist on each of the Stars' two power-play goals of the night.
• The Gothenburg, Sweden native played 26:03, his second highest of the season, adding two hits and three blocked shots to Tuesday's performance.
• Klingberg, 29, has recorded six points (all assists) in 13 games this season and ranks fourth on the team with 21:56 TOI per game.
• Against Colorado, he's riding a three-game assist streak (four assists) and has 12 points (one goal, 11 assists) over his past 12 games.
• In four games against the Avs in 2019-20, Klingberg shared the team lead with four points (all assists), bringing his career total vs. Colorado to 15 points (two goals, 13 assists) in 25 games.

'Letting out the noise inside of me'

• Forward Roope Hintz opened the scoring Tuesday night vs. Edmonton with a power-play goal in the first period and finished the night with his third multi-point game (one goal, one assist) of the season.
• After posting six goals (and eight points) in his past six games, Hintz has tallied 10 points on the season (six goals, four assists), pacing the Stars in goals and sharing second in points.
• Hintz shared the team lead with four points (two goals, two assists) against the Avalanche in 2019-20, including his first career shorthanded goal on Nov. 1, 2019, which stood as the night's game-winner.

Mask Policy:In accordance with the Dallas County mask order, masks will be required upon entry to American Airlines Center. It is not required to submit a health screening in advance. Health and safety protocols could change at any point based on NHL, federal, state or local guidance.
Bag Policy:Wristlet, clutch or wallet 4.5x6.5 allowed at all entrances. Purses no larger than 14x14x6 will be allowed at designated X-ray entry points. No backpack or large totes allowed. Remote Bag Check at Silver Garage will be available for fans who need to check bags that are too large.
Re-Entry Policy: Re-entry is not allowed at any event at the American Airlines Center. For certain situations such as medical needs, re-entry can be approved by the Guest Services Supervisor at the door.
Smoking Policy: Guests can smoke at JD Patio and ULTRA Club Patio. No smoking areas will be located on Platinum level. All guests must be re-screened prior to entry back into the building.
Cashless Transactions: Be sure to bring your debit/credit card to AAC for cashless transactions. No cash will be accepted.
