'Spent the winter writing songs about getting better'

• The Stars take on the Minnesota Wild at American Airlines Center on Monday night for their second meeting this season. The Stars fell to Minnesota, 7-2, in the season opener on Nov. 18.
• Dallas has earned points in six of its past nine games against Minnesota (5-3-1) and has recorded a win in five of its past seven (5-2-0) at home vs. the Wild.
• Captain Jamie Benn has recorded points in five of his past seven games (one goal, four assists) against Minnesota, including a goal in the most recent meeting on Nov. 18 at Xcel Energy Center. In 45 career games against the Wild, Benn has posted 38 points (15 goals, 23 assists).
• Forward Joe Pavelski has posted four points (two goals, two assists) in his past five games against Minnesota. He's appeared in 46 career games against the Wild, tallying 37 points (19 goals, 18 assists). His 19 career goals against the opponent pace all active Stars.
• Forward Tyler Seguin paces all current Stars with 40 points and 25 assists in 34 career games vs. Minnesota.
• Defenseman Miro Heiskanen has tallied three assists in his past four games against Minnesota, bringing his career total to six points (all assists) in nine games.
• Rookie forward Jacob Peterson scored his second career NHL goal in Minnesota on Nov. 18.
• Goaltender Braden Holtby has posted a record of 9-3-0 in 12 career games against Minnesota. He holds a 2.33 goals against average, .923 save percentage and one shutout.

'Growing up means watching my heroes turn human in front of me'

• Pavelski tied his career high with four points (two goals, two assists) on Saturday night against the Blackhawks, marking the 16th time in his career that he's posted a four-point outing.
• Since his NHL debut in 2006-07, only seven players have more four-plus point performances: Sidney Crosby (31), Alex Ovechkin (28), Evgeni Malkin (26), Nicklas Backstrom (23), Connor McDavid (21), Ryan Getzlaf (17) and Steven Stamkos (17).
• Pavelski is the first NHL player 37 years of age or older to have a 4-point regular-season game since Henrik Zetterberg (37 years, 123 days) on Feb. 9, 2018 and oldest player (37 years, 160 days) to notch at least four points in a game since Jaromir Jagr (42 years, 44 days) on March 31, 2014.
• He's now one of five players in franchise history to record 4+ points in a regular-season game over the age of 37, joining Sergei Gonchar, Jaromir Jagr, Sergei Zubov and Doug Mohns.
• Per NHL Stats, Pavelski became one of four active NHL players to record 10+ goals in 16+ consecutive seasons, joining Alex Ovechkin (17 seasons), Dustin Brown (16) and Jeff Carter (16).
• Pavelski now has three multi-goal games in 2021-22 and becomes the first NHL player 37 years or older to accomplish this feat since the 2015-16 season. Shane Doan (5), Jaromir Jagr (5), Jarome Iginla (3) and Pavel Datsyuk (3) all recorded three-or-more multi-goal games in 2015-16.
• The native of Plover, Wisconsin who was selected by the Sharks in the seventh round (205th overall) of the 2003 NHL Draft, recorded his 62nd career multi-goal game and trails only Luc Robitaille (119), Peter Bondra (95) and Theo Fleury (72) for the most such outings among skaters drafted in the seventh round or later.
• The forward is also the first NHL player 37 years or older to record at least six multi-point games in a single season since Patrick Marleau (6), Joe Thornton (6) and Justin Williams (6) in 2018-19.
• Pavelski leads the team with 26 points (11-15=26) in 28 games this season. He also paces the club in assists (15) and power play goals (6), is tied for first in goals (11) and ranks second in plus/minus (+6).

'I'm everywhere at once again'

• Forward Jason Robertson lit the lamp Saturday night against the Blackhawks, recording a point for his third consecutive game (two goals, one assist).
• His goal extends his point streak on home ice to seven games (four goals, five assists). Only Colorado's Gabe Landeskog has a longer active home point streak (eight games).
• Overall, the forward has points in 10 of his past 12 games (seven goals, seven assists) and recorded a season-long seven-game point streak (five goals, six assists) from Nov. 23-Dec. 8. Within that span, Robertson recorded three consecutive multi-point games for the first time in his career.
• The second-year player ranks second on the club with 23 points, while also tied for second in assists (13) and ranking third in goals (10).
• Robertson is currently tied for 13th in the NHL and first on Dallas with three game-winning goals this season, matching his career high which he set in 2020-21.
• His +7 plus/minus rating is tops among all Dallas players and his three power-play goals ranks second on the club.

Mask Policy:In accordance with the Dallas County mask order, masks will be required upon entry to American Airlines Center. It is not required to submit a health screening in advance. Health and safety protocols could change at any point based on NHL, federal, state or local guidance.
Bag Policy:Wristlet, clutch or wallet 4.5x6.5 allowed at all entrances. Purses no larger than 14x14x6 will be allowed at designated X-ray entry points. No backpack or large totes allowed. Remote Bag Check at Silver Garage will be available for fans who need to check bags that are too large.
Re-Entry Policy: Re-entry is not allowed at any event at the American Airlines Center. For certain situations such as medical needs, re-entry can be approved by the Guest Services Supervisor at the door.
Smoking Policy: Guests can smoke at JD Patio and ULTRA Club Patio. No smoking areas will be located on Platinum level. All guests must be re-screened prior to entry back into the building.
Cashless Transactions: Be sure to bring your debit/credit card to AAC for cashless transactions. No cash will be accepted.
