You may ask yourself, 'Well, how did I get here?'

• The Stars face the New York Rangers for the second and final time this season Saturday night at American Airlines Center.
• These two clubs first met in the Stars' season opener on Oct. 14, a 3-2 overtime victory for Dallas. Jacob Peterson opened the scoring with his first NHL goal on his first NHL shot, Radek Faksa added one in regulation and Miro Heiskanen ended the game with his first career overtime winner. The Stars went 1-for-2 (50%) on the power play and 4-of-4 (100%) on the penalty kill.
• Dallas has won six of its last eight (6-2-0) games against the Rangers and two of its previous three at home (2-1-0).
Joe Pavelski leads the Stars with five goals, 12 assists and 17 points in 19 games against the Rangers and has recorded three points in his last three games against them (two goals, one assist).
• Heiskanen leads the Stars with two points (one goal, one assist) against the Rangers this season. He's tallied four points (one goal, three assists) in his last two games against them, contributing to a total of five points (one goal, four assists) in five games.
Braden Holtby has a record of 13-10-1 in 26 career games against the Rangers, earning a 2.47 goals-against average and a .918 save percentage. He's backstopped his teams to wins in seven of his last eight appearances (7-1-0), recording seven straight wins from Feb. 28, 2017-Oct. 18, 2019.
Jake Oettinger has yet to make an appearance against the Rangers.

• Pavelski signed a
one-year contract extension
on Friday worth a base of $5,500,000, plus an additional $500,000 in performance-based incentives.
• Pavelski, 37, has appeared in all 56 games during the 2021-22 season, leading the team in points (59), assists (37) and power-play goals (10). Making his fourth career All-Star Game appearance this season, his 22 goals are third on the team as is his +14 plus/minus rating. Amongst league leaders, he's tied for 22nd in points and tied for 11th in power-play goals.
• Since joining the Stars prior to the 2019-20 season, he leads the club in points (141), goals (61), power-play goals (29), even-strength points (91) and plus/minus rating (+42). Additionally, he led the team with 13 goals and was tied for third with 19 points in 27 Stanley Cup Playoff games played, helping the team to its third-ever Stanley Cup Final appearance in 2020 since moving to Dallas.

Some things sure can sweep me off my feet

• Defenseman John Klingberg scored the lone Stars goal in Tuesday's game against the Nashville Predators, his second of the season.
• Klingberg has tallied three points (one goal, two assists) in his last two games, contributing to a total of 29 points (two goals, 27 assists) on the season.
• The Gothenberg, Sweden native leads Dallas defensemen and ranks second on the club in assists. He's earned 14 of them on the power play, a team high.
• Klingberg co-leads Dallas defensemen and ranks sixth on the club with 29 points this season.

Bag Policy:Wristlet, clutch or wallet 4.5x6.5 allowed at all entrances. Purses no larger than 14x14x6 will be allowed at designated X-ray entry points. No backpack or large totes allowed. Remote Bag Check at Silver Garage will be available for fans who need to check bags that are too large.
Re-Entry Policy: Re-entry is not allowed at any event at the American Airlines Center. For certain situations such as medical needs, re-entry can be approved by the Guest Services Supervisor at the door.
Smoking Policy: Guests can smoke at JD Patio and ULTRA Club Patio. No smoking areas will be located on Platinum level. All guests must be re-screened prior to entry back into the building.
Cashless Transactions: Be sure to bring your debit/credit card to AAC for cashless transactions. No cash will be accepted.
