• The Stars take on the San Jose Sharks on the first night of a back-to-back set. On Sunday, the franchise will make its first trip to Climate Pledge Arena to face the Seattle Kraken.
• The Stars have lost three in a row at SAP Center dating to April 3, 2018, including a 2-1 defeat in the series opener this season on Dec. 11, 2021. Michael Raffl potted the lone goal for Dallas, while Jani Hakanpää and Radek Faksa added assists. Braden Holtby stopped 23 of the 25 shots.
• Joe Pavelski has skated in two career contests against the Sharks, logging four shots on goal. The native of Plover, Wis., spent 13 seasons with the Sharks and among all-time franchise leaders ranks second in goals, power-play tallies (121) and game winners (60), while ranking third in points and fourth in assists and games played.
• Miro Heiskanen has points in four of his five career contests against the Sharks (two goals, two assists).
• Tyler Seguin has inked the scoresheet in four of his past six games (one goal, four assists) vs. San Jose and has eight points (one goal, seven assists) in his previous nine games at SAP Center.
• Captain Jamie Benn has four goals and five points over his past four games in San Jose. In 42 career games against the Sharks, Benn's earned 15 goals and 35 points.
• Scott Wedgewood has appeared in four career contests vs. the Sharks, posting a 1-1-2 record with a 4.52 goals-against average and .862 save percentage.

• Jacob Peterson notched an assist on Thursday night against the Anaheim Ducks and has inked the scoresheet in three-straight games (two goals, one assist).
• His three-game point streak is the longest of his NHL career, surpassing his previous career-best streak of two games from Jan. 24-25, 2022.
• In his first NHL season, the 22-year-old has 12 goals and 17 points in 55 contests this season.
• Peterson is also tied for 11th among league rookies and ranks sixth on Dallas in goals.
• He co-leads NHL rookies and ranks third on the Stars with five game-winning goals on the season.
• The Lidkoping, Sweden native is just the fourth rookie in franchise history to score at least five game-winning goals in a season and the first to do so since Fabian Brunnstrom also logged five game winners in 2008-09.

• Benn tallied the game-winning goal in overtime on Thursday night against the Ducks. It marked the 11th OT winner of his career, which ranks first all-time in Stars franchise history.
• The native of Victoria, B.C. has earned points in four of his last five games (two goals, three assists) and has 16 points (five goals, 11 assists) over his past 17 contests.
• In 66 contests during the 2021-22 campaign, the forward ranks fourth on the team with 39 points (17 goals, 22 assists).
• His two overtime goals are tied for the team-lead, while he's tied for second with one shorthanded goal.
• Among Stars franchise leaders, Benn (328 goals) is four goals away from tying Dino Ciccarelli (332 goals) for the fourth-most all-time goals and four assists away (434 assists) from tying Sergei Zubov (438 assists) for the third-most all-time assists.
