'I came here by day, but I left here in darkness'

• The Stars travel to St. Louis to face the Blues on Friday at Enterprise Center on the first night of a road/home back-to-back. Dallas will then play host to the Chicago Blackhawks on Saturday night at American Airlines Center.
• The Blues defeated the Stars, 4-1, at American Airlines Center this past Tuesday.
• Rookie forward Riley Damiani scored in his NHL debut, while defenseman John Klingberg and forward Jason Robertson each added assists.
• Goaltender Jake Oettinger stopped 25 of the 29 shots he faced and suffered his first defeat on home ice this season.
• In two games against the Blues this season, the Stars are 1-for-5 (20%) on the power play and 8-of-11 (72.7%) on the penalty kill.
• Captain Jamie Benn has points in four of his past five games (two goals, three assists) against the Blues and has 15 points (nine goals, six assists) over his past 14 against them.
• Defenseman Ryan Suter lit the lamp against the Blues on Nov. 20 and now has goals in two of his past three games against them. He leads all current Stars with 32 assists and has 39 points in a team-leading 83 career games against St. Louis.
• Goaltender Braden Holtby has recorded a win in all but one of his nine appearances against the Blues, posting an 8-1-0 record, 2.31 goals-against average and .924 save percentage. As a member of the Washington Capitals, Holtby made a career-high 46 saves on 47 shots in a 4-1 win against St. Louis on Nov. 17, 2013.

• Forward Joe Pavelski scored twice on Dec. 8 against Vegas and has 19 points (eight goals, 11 assists) over his past 19 games.
• This season, Pavelski is tied for the team lead with 21 points (nine goals, 12 assists) in 26 contests.
• His nine goals rank second on the club, while his four power-play tallies lead the team.
• Pavelski's 12 assists are good for third on the Stars.
• Pavelski notched multi-point outings in five of his six games (five goals, six assists) from Nov. 26-Dec. 8.
• During that stretch, Pavelski became the 11th different player in NHL history to record multiple points in four consecutive games at age 37 or older and the first since Cliff Ronning in 2003-04 (4 GP from March 11-17, 2004).
• Pavelski is one of eight NHL players during the 2021-22 season to record multi-point performances in at least four consecutive games.
• On Nov. 30 against Carolina, Pavelski (37 years, 142 days) recorded three points (one goal, two assists) and became the first NHL player over the age 37 to record 3+ points in a game since Jason Spezza (37 years, 263 days) did so with Toronto on March 3, 2021 (three assists).

'There is no mystery in my cadence'

• Robertson notched an assist against the Blues on Tuesday night, extending his point streak on home ice to six games (three goals, five assists).
• Overall, the forward has points in eight of his past 10 games (five goals, seven assists) and recorded a season-long seven-game point streak (five goals, six assists) from Nov. 23-Dec. 8.
• The second-year player co-leads the Stars in points (21) and assists (12) and ranks third in goals (9).
• Robertson is currently tied for 12th in the NHL and first on Dallas with three game-winning goals this season, matching his career high which he set in 2020-21.
• His +7 plus/minus rating is tops among all Dallas players and his three power-play goals rank second on the club.
