'I'm back in Toronto, but just 'til tomorrow'

• The Stars face the Toronto Maple Leafs for the first of two meetings this season on Tuesday night at Scotiabank Arena. It represents the first game between the two clubs since Feb. 13, 2020, a 3-2 Stars win in Toronto.
• Dallas has won two of its last four matchups (2-2-0) and has collected at least a point in the standings in three of its previous five (2-2-1).
• In the 3-2 win, Tyler Seguin, Radek Faksa and Denis Gurianov contributed goals, and Ben Bishop stopped 29 of 31 shots.
• Seguin has 14 points (five goals, nine assists) in his last eight games against the Leafs, including four multi-point performances. He's earned at least a point in five consecutive games (three goals, five assists) in Toronto, contributing to a total of 15 points (eight goals, seven assists) on the road. The 30-year-old leads the Stars with 15 goals, 18 assists and 33 points in 30 career games against Toronto.
• Alexander Radulov has earned five points (three goals, two assists) in his last two games against the Maple Leafs and has 13 points (four goals, nine assists) against them in 10 career meetings.
• Gurianov has goals in each of his previous two games against Toronto.
• John Klingberg has recorded points in five straight games (one goal, four assists) against Toronto, including three assists/points in three straight games on the road. In 12 career games against the Leafs, Klingberg has seven points (one goal, six assists).
• Braden Holtby has backstopped his team to a win in two of his last three appearances against the Maple Leafs. In 22 career games, he's posted a 12-8-1 record, 2.66 goals-against average and .916 save percentage.
• Goaltender Jake Oettinger has yet to face Toronto in his NHL career.

• Seguin skated in his 800th career NHL game on Saturday night vs. the New York Rangers. In the game, Seguin lit the lamp for his 299th career NHL goal.
• Seguin is the second member of his 2010 draft class to skate in 800 games. He leads his class in points (669) and goals (299) and ranks second in assists (370).
• The Brampton, Ontario native also leads his draft class with 54 game-winning goals and ranks fourth with a +62 rating.
• Seguin has tallied points (one goal, two assists) in three of his last five games, contributing to a total of 32 points (18 goals, 14 assists) on the season.

Your sword versus my dagger

• Esa Lindell registered a goal and an assist on Saturday night against the Rangers and has four points (one goal, three assists) in three straight games.
• Through 57 games this season, Lindell leads Dallas with 2:46 shorthanded time on ice per game. He plays 60.3% of the Stars' total shorthanded ice time, the ninth highest SH TOI in the NHL.
• Lindell is one of four Stars and is the only defenseman to record a shorthanded point this season, ranking tied for second on the team with two (one goal, one assist).
• The Vantaa, Finland native ranks tied for second among Dallas defensemen with four goals, contributing to a total of 20 points (four goals, 16 assists) on the season.
