• The Dallas Stars return to American Airlines Center after a four-game road trip to face the Washington Capitals on
Sergei Zubov Retirement Night
at American Airlines Center. Fans are encouraged to be in their seats by 6 p.m. for the start of the jersey retirement ceremony.
• The Stars and Capitals meet for the first time since Oct. 12, 2019, a 4-1 loss for Dallas. Forward Radek Faksa recorded the lone goal, assisted by defenseman Miro Heiskanen. Goaltender Anton Khudobin stopped 21 of 24 shots he faced.
• It marked the Stars' first regulation loss to the Capitals at home since Oct. 17, 1995, posting a 13-0-4 record against the Capitals between the two losses.
• In their most recent meeting, captain Jamie Benn was held off the scoresheet for the first time in 14 games. He recorded points in 13 consecutive games against the Caps from Nov. 8, 2011-Oct. 8, 2019, the longest streak against any opponent in his career. He has 16 points (seven goals, nine assists) in 16 career games against Washington.
• Forward Tyler Seguin has recorded four points (three goals, one assist) in his past three games against Washington, including the overtime game-winning goal in both of the Stars' previous two wins. He's totaled 18 points (12 goals, six assists) in 25 career games against the Capitals.
• Forward Joe Pavelski leads the Stars with 21 points (nine goals, 12 assists) in 21 career games against the Capitals.
• Forward Alexander Radulov has recorded 10 points (four goals, six assists) in nine career games against Washington.
• Defenseman Andrej Sekera has recorded 11 points (one goal, 10 assists) in 29 games against Washington. His 10 assists tie for the most he has against any opponent.
• Goaltender Braden Holtby faces the Capitals for the first time since departing the team in 2020. Holtby was drafted by Washington in the fourth round (93rd overall) of the 2008 NHL Draft and spent 10 seasons with the Capitals from 2010-11 to 2019-20.
• The Lloydminster, Saskatchewan native appeared in 468 regular-season games as a member of the Capitals, posting a 282-122-46 record, 2.53 goals-against average and .916 save percentage. He was awarded the Vezina Trophy in 2015-16 as the league's best goaltender and won the Stanley Cup with the Capitals in 2018.

• Pavelski posted four points (two goals, two assists) on Tuesday night in New Jersey and has points in six straight games (four goals, nine assists).
• Over that span, Pavelski tallied four multi-point games and shares the team lead with 11 multi-point performances this season.
• The last time an NHL player had 7+ multi-point games in a single regular season at age 37 or older was Daniel Sedin (13) in 2017-18.
• Pavelski has found the scoresheet in 13 of his past 14 games, registering a league-leading 27 points (10 goals, 17 assists) over that span.
• The Plover, Wisconsin native has recorded four or more points in three games this season, sharing second in the league.
• Pavelski ranks first on the Stars in points (48) and assists (29) and co-leads the Stars in goals with Roope Hintz (19).

You got everybody talkin,' you got everybody goin'

• The Dallas Stars will retire defenseman Sergei Zubov's number 56 ahead of Friday night's game against Washington.
• Zubov spent 12 of his 16 NHL seasons as a member of the Stars, registering 549 points (111 goals, 438 assists) in 839 regular-season contests.
• Among franchise leaders (1967-present), the blueliner ranks third in assists and plus/minus rating (+103), fifth in games played and seventh in points.
• Zubov is the franchise leader among defensemen in numerous statistical categories including points, goals, assists, games played, power-play goals (60), plus/minus and shots on goal (1,694).
• Inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in November 2019, Zubov recorded 771 points (152 goals, 619 assists) in 1,068 regular-season contests over 16 NHL seasons for the Dallas Stars, Pittsburgh Penguins and New York Rangers.
• His 771 points are the second-most ever recorded by a Russian-born defenseman and rank 20th among all defensemen in NHL history.
• Zubov won two Stanley Cups in his career, once with New York in 1994 when he finished tied for seventh in the NHL and ranking second among league defensemen with 19 points (five goals, 14 assists) in 22 contests and again with Dallas in 1999.

Mask Policy: In accordance with the Dallas County mask order, masks will be required upon entry to American Airlines Center. It is not required to submit a health screening in advance. Health and safety protocols could change at any point based on NHL, federal, state or local guidance.
Bag Policy: Wristlet, clutch or wallet 4.5x6.5 allowed at all entrances. Purses no larger than 14x14x6 will be allowed at designated X-ray entry points. No backpack or large totes allowed. Remote Bag Check at Silver Garage will be available for fans who need to check bags that are too large.
Re-Entry Policy: Re-entry is not allowed at any event at the American Airlines Center. For certain situations such as medical needs, re-entry can be approved by the Guest Services Supervisor at the door.
Smoking Policy: Guests can smoke at JD Patio and ULTRA Club Patio. No smoking areas will be located on Platinum level. All guests must be re-screened prior to entry back into the building.
Cashless Transactions: Be sure to bring your debit/credit card to AAC for cashless transactions. No cash will be accepted.
