• The Stars and Washington Capitals meet for the second and final time this season on Sunday at Capital One Arena. In their first meeting, the Stars fell 5-0 to the Capitals at American Airlines Center.
• Dallas has won two in a row and 10 of its last 12 road games against Washington (10-2-0).
• More recently, the Stars have dropped two in a row against the Capitals, but haven't lost three consecutive games against the Caps since the Minnesota North Stars did so from Jan. 25-Dec. 7, 1991.
• Captain Jamie Benn has points in eight straight games in Washington, scoring in all but one of his nine career goals against the Capitals on the road (three goals, eight assists). Prior to being held off the scoresheet in his last two games, he recorded points (seven goals, nine assists) in 13 consecutive games against Washington from Nov. 8, 2011-Oct. 8, 2019, the longest streak against any opponent in his career. Jake Oettinger played 20 minutes in his first appearance against the Washington Capitals on Jan. 28, making two saves on two shots in a relief appearance in the third period.

John Klingberg scored two goals, including the game-winning goal in overtime, and added an assist for a three point performance against the Montreal Canadiens on Thursday.
• With the 21st game-winning goal of his career, Klingberg set a new franchise record for most game-winning goals by a defenseman.
• The game marked Klingberg's fourth career two-goal game and his first since Nov. 3, 2016.
• The Gothenburg, Sweden native has earned eight points (three goals, five assists) in his last five games. He leads Dallas defensemen and ranks tied for fourth on the team in points (34), second in assists (30) and co-leads in OT goals (2).
