There were two words that could best describe the Stars' look in
Tuesday's wild game
against the Tampa Bay Lightning: Icyand clean.
Boy, are they ever.
For the first of three occasions this season at American Airlines Center, Dallas broke out its Adidas "Reverse Retro" uniforms -- an all-white fusion of past and present that pays homage to the club's 1999 Stanley Cup championship team.

Stamped with the throwback "Dallas Stars" crest in Victory Green and silver, the uniforms are white nearly head to skate and feature the old, fan-favorite star outline that stretches around the sweater, plus classic lettering and numerals. Adorning the side of the white pants is more black and Victory Green striping along with the return of the team's historic "Dallas" vertical wordmark.
From Arizona's

to the Hurricanes'

, Reverse Retro jerseys have been worn by all 31 clubs around the league this season. They were each part of a two-year design process to combine each franchise's jersey archive and team colors. The Stars' version remixes the organization's 1999 classics, giving them a modern-day spin "to create something new and never seen before," according to Adidas' release.

"You can't get a cleaner look than this ... the 'Ghosts of '99,' " Stars color commentator Daryl "Razor" Reaugh said during Tuesday's broadcast on FOX Sports Southwest and 96.7/1310 The Ticket.
Reaugh was part of the club's design committee for the uniform, along with owner Tom Gaglardi, senior vice president of marketing Dan Stuchal, director of creative Jeff Neal and director of merchandise Kris Smith. The full uniform was unveiled in November 2020.

In addition to its heralded debut, the Stars will also wear the Reverse Retro unis on April 19 and 20 against the Red Wings. For ticket information, click here.
