The Dallas Stars Alumni Team will take on the Detroit Red Wings Alumni Team for this year's edition of the Alumni Charity Game. The contest will feature a roster of former Stars players including Derian Hatcher, Ed Belfour, Brenden Morrow, Marty Turco, Craig Ludwig, Kari Lehtonen, Eric Nystrom and many others.

Any ticket to the afternoon game against the Buffalo Sabres serves as admission to the Alumni Charity Game. The Alumni Charity Game format will be two 30 minutes halves with running time. The Stars-Sabres game is scheduled for a 1 p.m. puck drop at American Airlines Center.
The Dallas Stars Alumni Association will raise money throughout the entire afternoon to help benefit their organizational initiatives. During the Stars/Sabres game, Dallas Stars alumni will be selling Alumni Mystery Pucks on the concourse outside of Section 113. At the start of the Alumni Charity Game, the Dallas Stars Ice Girls will pass helmets in the crowd to collect cash donations. . All proceeds raised will go to support the Dallas Stars Alumni Association.
Since its formation in 2010, the Dallas Stars Alumni Association acts as players "Giving Back" by supporting charitable organizations, assisting former players in need, fostering fellowship between corporations and charitable organizations and celebrating the Dallas Stars hockey in Texas.
