Stars head coach Jim Montgomery

On the team's performance in the third period:
"He (Pekka Rinne) was really good. Without that save on Jamie Benn, that would have put us up 3-2 and the roof probably would have come off of the AAC. That being said, we need to find more ways to score goals. 5-on-3 for a minute and a half, you've got to score and that's what your best players are paid to do."
On the Stars' power play:
"I thought our 5-on-4 created chances. We had a lot of attempts at the net, I don't know how many got there I haven't reviewed that part yet. I thought we broke the puck in easily and I thought we moved the puck around well in the zone. I thought we were looking to have an attack mentality and converge on the net."
On his message to the team:
"You never get too high and never get too low. It's 2-1 and I think we've been the better team two out of the three games. If we keep playing like that usually the hockey gods get back on your side."
On the 5-on-3 power play:
"We need a little more spacing. If you can recognize that we're trying to force it to the back door, we're not moving the puck. They're three, we're five, let the puck do the work. Once their out of position, someone should be open for a shot."
On the Stars' lack of success in the first period:
"When you're getting opportunities, you feel the rhythm of the game and you just feel like it's coming all the time and you feel like that next shot is going in."
On the Stars' leadership:
"The shots might have been 7-1 in favor of Nashville when Jamie Benn ran over (Calle) Jarnkrok in front of our bench. Jamie Benn is clearly our leader and clearly the person that elevates our intensity and our will on the ice."
On the Stars' faceoffs tonight:
"Our faceoff intensity was very good. Centers were better but more importantly the guys on the sides whether it's in the D-zone, neutral zone or offensive zone, the guys on the side d-men or wings, our intensity had picked up so we did a much better job."

Razor breaks down Bishop's performance in Stars' loss

On the scoring struggles of the power play:
"Not good enough. Obviously, we know we're not going to score every time; we have to build momentum, hopefully. Create some good energy for the team. Right now, our unit is struggling a little bit. The second unit is bringing a lot to the table. We have to be better there."
On the offensive push in the third and Nashville goaltender Pekka Rinne's play:
"I think we feel good about ourselves. Obviously, we want to score more goals. He played good, but at the same time I think we can do some adjustments to score some more goals. Drive more in the middle and create some more traffic. I think we had a lot of traffic in the last 10-15 minutes in the third. Maybe we can start doing that earlier and create some dangerous chances."
On the unsuccessful 5-on-3 powerplay:
"We could've had better chances. I think we were stressing out a little bit. The confidence right now isn't there. But that's something we have to build on and get better on. We're going to assess it on video and move on from it."
On the attitude of the team after going down 2-0 in the game:
"We don't panic at all. Keep playing our game, we believe in our system and we know if we grind their top 4 [defensemen] that they're going to get tired. They play a lot. So that's what we were doing a lot today."
On the energy in the AAC:
"Awesome. You can just tell it's playoffs. There's goosebumps during the national anthem, warmups, and through the whole game. It was a lot of fun for sure."

Stars goaltender Ben Bishop

Bishop on his Game 3 performance in Stars' defeat

On tonight's game:
"Some nights there's unfortunate bounces. Some nights you get lucky. That doesn't change anything. It's the same routine night in and night out."
On the first goal:
"It's unfortunate. It's a bad goal. It's one that you have to have. I just got caught a little in between. I was going to punch it out and then I was going to corral it. It hopped inside and in. It's unfortunate, but it happens."
On Jamie Benn's leadership:
"He's a great player. He's our captain for a reason. He does all the things you want a captain to do on and off the ice. He's a great guy in the locker room, and he's a warrior on the ice."
