On the team's performance in the third period:
"He (Pekka Rinne) was really good. Without that save on Jamie Benn, that would have put us up 3-2 and the roof probably would have come off of the AAC. That being said, we need to find more ways to score goals. 5-on-3 for a minute and a half, you've got to score and that's what your best players are paid to do."
On the Stars' power play:
"I thought our 5-on-4 created chances. We had a lot of attempts at the net, I don't know how many got there I haven't reviewed that part yet. I thought we broke the puck in easily and I thought we moved the puck around well in the zone. I thought we were looking to have an attack mentality and converge on the net."
On his message to the team:
"You never get too high and never get too low. It's 2-1 and I think we've been the better team two out of the three games. If we keep playing like that usually the hockey gods get back on your side."
On the 5-on-3 power play:
"We need a little more spacing. If you can recognize that we're trying to force it to the back door, we're not moving the puck. They're three, we're five, let the puck do the work. Once their out of position, someone should be open for a shot."
On the Stars' lack of success in the first period:
"When you're getting opportunities, you feel the rhythm of the game and you just feel like it's coming all the time and you feel like that next shot is going in."
On the Stars' leadership:
"The shots might have been 7-1 in favor of Nashville when Jamie Benn ran over (Calle) Jarnkrok in front of our bench. Jamie Benn is clearly our leader and clearly the person that elevates our intensity and our will on the ice."
On the Stars' faceoffs tonight:
"Our faceoff intensity was very good. Centers were better but more importantly the guys on the sides whether it's in the D-zone, neutral zone or offensive zone, the guys on the side d-men or wings, our intensity had picked up so we did a much better job."
