Sjoberg, 18, scored his first goal of the tournament 6:50 into the second period on an impressive individual effort. The 2021 seventh-round pick corraled a loose puck in the neutral zone and made a slick move on Slovakia defenseman Denis Bakala before walking in on goaltender Simon Latkoczy and beating him high blocker. The goal gave Sweden a 2-0 lead.
Sjoberg finished the game with a goal and three shots in 9:34 TOI.
Meanwhile, Ljungman, 19, added his second empty-net goal in as many games to push Sweden's lead to 3-0 with 1:15 remaining in the game.
Taken in the fifth round of the 2020 NHL Draft, Ljungman led all forwards on Team Sweden with 20:46 TOI. He went 9-for-17 in faceoffs (53%) and added four shots on goal.
Ljungman co-leads Sweden in goals (2) with Detroit prospect Theodor Niederbach through two games.
Up next for Sweden is a date with the United States on Wednesday, Dec. 29 at 8:30 p.m. CT.
Stars prospects Mavrik Bourque and Logan Stankoven (both with Team Canada) will face Austria Tuesday night at 6 p.m. CT.
