The Utah Hockey Club (4-1-1) continues its first-ever homestand tonight against the Ottawa Senators (3-2-0) in the second of three straight home games at Delta Center. Each of Utah’s previous two home games, including a 2-1 overtime win over the Boston Bruins on Saturday in the first game of the homestand, have been sold out in front of over 16,000 fans.

The Senators have won two of their last three games, including a 8-7 overtime win against the Los Angeles Kings on Oct. 14 that remains the NHL’s highest scoring game of the season. Through five games, Ottawa’s power play is humming along at a 38.1% clip, good for second best in the NHL so far. Founded in 1992, the Sens play in the Eastern Conference’s Atlantic Division and last reached the Stanley Cup Playoffs in 2017.
WHO TO WATCH
UTAH: #7 MICHAEL KESSELRING - A 6-foot-4 defenseman, Kesselring had a memorable night on Saturday against Boston. The 24-year-old grew up a Bruins fan in New Hampshire and scored the game-winning goal in overtime for Utah on Saturday night. Kesselring now has two goals and two assists in six games this season along with goals in back-to-back games.
OTTAWA: #18 TIM STUTZLE - Stutzle is tied for his team’s lead with seven points (3G, 4A) through five games. The Viersen, Germany native was selected third overall by Ottawa in the 2020 NHL Entry Draft. In the 2022-23 season, Stutzle torched opposing teams for a career-best 90 points (39G, 51A) in 78 games.
LOOK BACK
Michael Kesselring capped off a 2-1 come-from-behind overtime victory for Utah on Saturday night at Delta Center against the Boston Bruins. Down 1-0 with five minutes left in regulation, Vladislav Kolyachonok tied the game with his first goal of the season for Utah. Less than three minutes into overtime, Kesselring found the back of the net and handed Utah its first-ever home overtime win. Goaltender Connor Ingram stopped 21 of 22 Boston shots for his fourth win of the campaign.
