Minnesota Wild Boot Hockey Classic 2023

January 21, Xcel Energy Center

The Minnesota Wild Boot Hockey Classic is a co-ed, recreational boot hockey event. Rosters are comprised of 5 - 10 players. All players must be 18 years of age or older. Teams will compete using four (4) forwards/defensive players and one (1) goalie on the ice at a time.

All players are required to wear the following equipment:

  • Helmet (face shield optional)
  • Gloves (hockey gloves are preferred but gloves of another type are sufficient)
  • Elbow pads
  • Shin guards
  • Close-toed shoes (broom ball shoes are best)

Goalies must wear a helmet with a full face mask. Goalies are allowed to wear a full complement of goaltender equipment, including gloves, chest protector, pants and leg pads, if they choose.

Modified ice hockey rules will be used for all games. A full list of rules will be provided to each team manager prior to the start of the event.

All participants must complete a liability waiver prior to their first game. A link to the waiver will be emailed to each team manager and it is their responsibility to forward the link to each team member. Waivers will be verified and no one will be allowed to participate if their waiver is not completed prior to their team's first game.

Seeding will be managed by tournament staff and based on the average level of experience of the members of each team. Once registered, managers will receive a roster form to complete with the names and experience level of each team member.

The schedule and tournament bracket will be sent to team managers no later than one week before the event.
