SAINT PAUL -- Minnesota Wild General Manager Chuck Fletcher today announced the National Hockey League (NHL) club has re-signed forward Pat Cannone (pronounced Kuh-NO-knee) to a one-year, two-way contract ($650,000/$225,000) for 2017-18.

Cannone, 30 (8/9/86), appeared in three games with Minnesota in 2016-17, including his NHL debut on Dec. 20, 2016 versus Colorado. The 5-foot-11, 197-pound native of Bayport, N.Y., registered 38 points (9-29=38) and 26 penalty minutes (PIM) in 73 games with the Iowa Wild in the American Hockey League (AHL) in 2016-17, leading the club in points and assists, and ranking T-2nd in power-play goals (5). He has totaled 241 points (89-152=241), a plus-54 rating and 173 PIM in 421 career games during parts of seven AHL seasons with Binghamton (2010-13), Chicago (2013-16) and Iowa (2016-17). Cannone originally signed with Minnesota as a free agent on July 1, 2016.
