ST. PAUL -- Minnesota Wild General Manager Bill Guerin today announced the National Hockey League (NHL) club has acquired a third-round selection in the 2021 NHL Entry Draft from the San Jose Sharks in exchange for forward Ryan Donato.

Donato, 24, collected 23 points (14-9=23) in 62 games with Minnesota last season and owns 57 points (29-28=57) in 130 career NHL games with Boston and the Wild.
The Wild currently owns six picks in the 2020 NHL Entry Draft, including the ninth overall selection. The 2020 NHL Entry Draft will be held virtually on Tuesday, Oct. 6 and Wednesday, Oct. 7. The first round begins live at 6 p.m. (CT) on Oct. 6 on NBC Sports Network and rounds 2-7 will take place on Oct. 7 starting at 10:30 a.m. (CT) on the NHL Network.
