NEW YORK -- Back in his homestate of New York, Wild forward Jordan Greenway is about to be reunited with a familiar face from years gone past.
The Wild acquired forward Ryan Donato from the Boston Bruins late on Wednesday night and Donato is expected to join his new mates in time for their game against the New York Rangers on Thursday at Madison Square Garden.
For Greenway, playing with Donato won't be a new experience: He did it just last February when both players represented Team USA at the Winter Olympics in South Korea.

Greenway and Donato even roomed together at the games.
"He's a good kid," Greenway said. "We didn't leave much when we were playing. We got to spend plenty of time together."

Prior to that, the two competed for rival Boston-area colleges, with Greenway representing Boston University and Donato playing for his dad, longtime former NHLer Ted Donato, at Harvard.
"He can score goals really well," Greenway said. "He brings a lot offensively and I think him being a younger guy, it'll be good for our team. It'll be great getting another young guy and bringing that aspect to the team for us."
Offense has been Donato's trademark at nearly every level he's played. He scored 21 goals and had 40 points in 36 games as a freshman at Harvard, then followed that up with 26 goals and 43 points in just 29 games as a sophomore last season.
At the Olympics, Donato led the Americans with five goals in five games.
After finishing up his second season with the Crimson, Donato jumped right into the Bruins lineup, scoring five goals and nine points in 12 games down the stretch. He also suited up in three Stanley Cup Playoff games.
"He'll bring a different dynamic for us and a lot of energy," Greenway said. "On the ice, he's a big threat. He's just kind of starting his career, but he can score goals and he's very skilled. There's a lot of good attributes he's going to bring for us."
