Greg Pateryn undergoes successful surgery

ST. PAUL --Minnesota Wild General Manager Bill Guerin announced defenseman Greg Pateryn underwent successful bilateral core muscle repair surgery today by Dr. William Meyers at the Vincera Institute in Philadelphia, Pa. Pateryn is expected to make a full recovery and return to play in approximately six weeks.

Minnesota opens the 2019-20 NHL season with a three-game road trip starting at the Nashville Predators on Thursday, Oct. 3 at 7 p.m. on NBCSN and KFAN 100.3 FM. The Wild hosts the Pittsburgh Penguins in its home opener on Saturday, Oct. 12 at 7:30 p.m. on FOX Sports North and KFAN 100.3 FM.
