Staal ASG

This weekend, Eric Staal took his talents from snowy St. Paul to tropical Tampa, representing the Minnesota Wild in his fifth career NHL All-Star Game. The forward
participated in the Dunkin' Donuts NHL Passing Challenge
during the Skills Competition on Saturday night, as well as shooting on Metropolitan Division goaltenders in the GEICO NHL Save Streak event.
Sunday, as a member of the Central Division, he was
eliminated in the first round
of the All-Star Game after falling to the Pacific Division, 5-2. Despite the early exit, it was
far from a wasted weekend
for Staal and his wife, Tanya, her parents, and his three sons, Levi, Parker and Finley.

"We had fun; it's a great weekend altogether," Staal said following the Central Division's early exit. "Would have been nice to keep playing, but we'll keep looking forward to the rest of the season."
That starts when Staal rejoins his Wild teammates Monday for a charter flight then practice in Columbus, followed by a 6 p.m. tilt Tuesday against the Blue Jackets. Until then, take a look back at the weekend after the sun has set on the 2018 All-Star Game.
