ST. PAUL -- Without the benefit of picks in the first two rounds of the 2017 NHL Draft, the Minnesota Wild
added six players
to its prospect pool during the League's annual selection meeting last summer in Chicago.
Here's a look at the players Minnesota selected and how they performed in their first post-draft season:

1st Round (23rd overall)

Traded to the Arizona Coyotes in exchange for Martin Hanzal and Ryan White on Feb. 26, 2017

2nd Round (54th overall)

Traded to the Buffalo Sabres in exchange for Chris Stewart on March 2, 2015

3rd Round (85th overall)

Ivan Lodnia -- Erie Otters, OHL
A right wing from Los Angeles, Lodnia tallied a career high 59 points in the Ontario Hockey League last season, scoring 22 goals in 62 games.
Once his season in Erie was completed, Lodnia skated in six games with the Iowa Wild, posting a plus-2.

4th Round (97th overall)

Mason Shaw -- Medicine Hat, WHL
In a pick acquired from Arizona in the Hanzal deal, the Wild selected another undersized but super skilled winger from the Canadian junior ranks in Shaw.
Shaw had a strong development camp and was one of the Wild's best players in the Traverse City Prospects Tournament, but sustained a serious knee injury after an awkward hit into the boards. He had surgery, which caused him to miss all but one game of the season.
Shaw recovered from the injury and skated in one game with Iowa, posting a plus-1.

4th Round (116th overall)

Bryce Misley -- Oakville, OJHL
A centerman from Calgary, Misley completed his junior hockey career and enrolled collegiately last season at the University of Vermont.
An 18-year-old playing in Hockey East, Misley assisted on five goals for the Catamounts, skating in 30 games during his freshman season.
With a year under his belt and some extra time in the weight room, Misley is expected to take a step forward during his upcoming sophomore season.

5th Round (147th overall)

Jacob Golden -- London, OHL
The first defenseman picked by the Wild, Golden took an unusual route to the Ontario Hockey League, first playing collegiately in Canada.
An offensive-minded blueliner, Golden saw his role increase with London last season, skating in 63 games while scoring two goals and 14 points. All three numbers were a significant increase from the season prior.

6th Round (178th overall)

Andrei Svetlakov -- CSKA Moscow, KHL
Perhaps the most seasoned of the Wild's picks in 2017, Svetlakov finished his third professional season in the Kontinental Hockey League by posting career highs with seven goals and 17 points in 37 games for one of the KHL's top teams.
Signed in the KHL through 2020, it may be a couple more years before Svetlakov comes to the United States.

7th Round (209th overall)

Nick Swaney -- Waterloo, USHL
A Lakeville native, the offensive-minded right winger scored six goals and 22 points in 35 games as a freshman at the University of Minnesota Duluth, helping the Bulldogs to the school's second national championship.
Swaney, who scored 50-plus points in each of his two full seasons in the USHL, provides position flexibility, as he can also play center. He's one to watch during his sophomore season along the north shore.
