Read reassigned 10.31.18

SAINT PAUL -- Minnesota Wild General Manager Paul Fenton today announced the NHL club has reassigned forward Matt Read to the Iowa Wild of the American Hockey League (AHL).

Read, 32 (6/14/86), was recalled by Minnesota on Oct. 17 and tallied six shots on goal in five games with the Wild. He has also recorded one assist in three games with Iowa this season. The 5-foot-10, 188-pound forward owns 187 points (87-100=187) and 83 penalty minutes (PIM) in 442 career NHL games with Philadelphia and Minnesota. The native of Ilderton, Ont., has also played in 30 Stanley Cup Playoff games, recording 10 points (5-5=10). Read was signed by Minnesota as a free agent on July 30, 2018.
