SuterJets
Minnesota Wild vs. Winnipeg Jets

The Wild will play its final home game of the preseason on Wednesday when it hosts the Winnipeg Jets at Xcel Energy Center.
Fans attending the game will get a sneak peak at what is expected to be Minnesota's opening night lineup ... minus Eric Fehr.
That includes the preseason debut of a very prominent defenseman returning from a serious injury.
Wild.com's Dan Myers has three things to keep an eye on during the game Wednesday night:

1. Suting up

That's right, defenseman Ryan Suter is expected to be in the lineup for the Wild on Wednesday. The veteran will be playing competitive hockey for the first time since sustaining a fractured right ankle against the Dallas Stars on March 31.
Suter had surgery April 5 and spent the first two months of his recovery on crutches, unable to put any weight on his injured leg. Months of rehabilitation followed and the All-Star defenseman was back on the ice in late July.
A regular participant in training camp, Suter's initial goal was to return in time for the regular season opener Oct. 4. It appears that time line has been moved up a week.

2. Opening night preview?

In addition to Suter, the lineup the Wild will ice against the Jets will be -- on the surface -- quite close to the one that will take the ice a week from Thursday in Denver against the Colorado Avalanche.
Devan Dubnyk is expected to start in goal in what will be his final preseason tuneup. All six of its regular defensemen will also play, as will each of the Wild's top nine forwards.

The only expected regular who won't play on Wednesday is Fehr, the veteran centerman who skated Monday in Dallas. Matt Hendricks will take Fehr's place as the center on the fourth line, next to wings JT Brown and Marcus Foligno.

3. Well rested

The Wild will play Wednesday coming off its first off day of training camp. The team has held a practice or an exhibition game each of the first 10 days since camp opened.
Following practice on Thursday, the Wild will play in Denver to conclude the preseason on Friday night before returning to the Rocky Mountain State six days later for the regular season opener.
