Goaltender Filip Lindberg helped lead the University of Massachusetts to its first ever Hockey East Tournament title on Saturday, stopping all 16 shots that came his way in a 1-0 victory over UMass Lowell.
Lindberg was named to the Steve Nazro Hockey East All-Tournament Team and was named the Hockey East Defensive Player of the Week after his performance. The goalie leads the NCAA in save percentage (.940) and ranks second in goals-against average (1.46).
