Iowa went 2-2-1 in its most recent stretch, and in doing so, it clinched a trip to the Calder Cup Playoffs for the second time in franchise history.

Iowa opened a two-game set against Chicago on April 7, where they fell to the Wolves 4-1. Steven Fogarty was the lone goal scorer for Iowa, while Jesper Wallstedt stopped 21-of-25 shots faced.
Iowa bounced back the next night, earning a 3-2 overtime victory over the Wolves. Fogarty scored in consecutive games, Nick Swaney netted the game-tying goal in the third period and Sammy Walkerscored the game-winner in overtime. Nic Petan tallied two assists and Zane McIntyre stopped 25-of-27 shots faced in regulation and overtime.
In a one-off game against Milwaukee on April 12, Iowa fell to the Admirals 3-1, with Michael Milne scoring the only goal--Wallstedt stopped 22-of-25 shots faced.
Iowa capped off the weekend with a two-game set against Texas that began on April 15, in which they fell to the Stars 2-1 in overtime. Adam Beckman scored the goal for Iowa, and McIntyre stopped 26-of-28 shots faced in regulation and overtime.
Iowa got its revenge the next night with a 5-1 win that resulted in them clinching a playoff berth. Walker, Milne and Patrick Curry each scored, while Swaney registered two goals in the second period. Wallstedt stopped 19-of-21 shots faced.
Iowa finished the regular season with a record of 34-27-11 and finished in fourth place in the Central Division.
Wallstedt finished the season 18-15-5 with a GAA of 2.68 and a SV% of .908, while McIntyre was 16-12-5 with a GAA of 2.87 and a SV% of .899.
Petan (23-39=62), Marco Rossi (16-35=51) and Fogarty (19-30=49) led all Iowa skaters in scoring. Joe Hicketts ranked tied for second in assists and fifth in scoring among AHL defensemen.
Iowa will open a three-game playoff series at Rockford on Wednesday, April 19 at 7:00 p.m. Iowa went 9-3-2 in 14 games against the Ice Hogs in the regular season.
