Rask, 25, has recorded six points (1-5=6) in 26 games with Carolina this season. The 6-foot-2, 200-pound native of Leksand, Sweden, owns 163 points (63-100=163), including 15 power-play goals and 13 game-winning goals in 339 career NHL contests with the Hurricanes. He has represented his country in 14 international competitions and earned a gold medal at the 2012 World Junior Championship and the 2017 World Championship with Sweden. Rask signed a six-year contract with Carolina that goes through the 2021-22 season. He was selected by Carolina in the second round (42nd overall) of the 2011 NHL Entry Draft.
Niederreiter, 26, has notched 23 points (9-14=23) in 46 games with Minnesota this season. He owns 231 points (112-119=231) in 498 career NHL contests with the New York Islanders and Minnesota.
