SAINT PAUL, Minn. -Minnesota Wild General Manager Bill Guerin today announced the National Hockey League (NHL) club has acquired forward Tyson Jost (pronounced JOHST) from the Colorado Avalanche in exchange for forward Nico Sturm.

Jost, 24 (3/14/98), recorded 14 points (6-8=14) in 59 games this season with Colorado. The 5-foot-11, 187-pounda native of St. Albert, Alberta has collected 103 points (45-58=103) and 116 penalty minutes (PIM) in 321 career NHL games with the Avalanche (2016-22). He has also tallied 10 points (6-4=10) in 40 Stanley Cup Playoff contests. Jost notched 35 points (16-19=35) and 44 PIM in 33 games in one season at the University of North Dakota (2016-17). He was selected by Colorado in the first round (10th overall) of the 2016 NHL Draft.
Sturm, 26 (5/3/95), collected 36 points (20-16=36) in 111 game with Minnesota (2018-22).
