In addition to the injuries, the Wild is still dealing with COVID-19-related issues as both Mats Zuccarello and Rem Pitlick's tests came back positive again, meaning they'll miss at least the next 10 days of action.
Dewar remains with the team, as does Kyle Rau, who was a healthy scratch on Thursday night. Rau is expected to hop into the lineup versus the Avs.
Colorado could also be dealing with an important injury as Mikko Rantanen did not practice Friday after missing the Avs' game Thursday night versus St. Louis.
Rantanen, who turned 25 on Friday, has three goals and five points in six games this season but could be a game-time decision. His lower-body injury isn't believed to be serious, but his absence if he can't play would be a big loss.
Without Rantanen on the ice Friday, Andre Burakovsky skated on the first line at right wing next to Gabriel Landeskog and Nathan MacKinnon.
Defenseman Samuel Girard could also return to the lineup after missing the past two games with an undisclosed injury. He practiced Friday and his availability will be determined Saturday morning.
